This redesign of the UN Building’s interior is the first of its kind in over 60 years. The building was originally imagined by a star-studded list of world architects including Oscar Niemeyer, Le Corbusier and others. The original vision of these architects has been maintained, but current stars like Koolhaas and Jongerius have given this portion a welcome visual update. The 68th General Assembly of the United Nations ended Friday in New York, and the interior now returns to regular non-assembly business for UN workers in Manhattan.
